Context and need
- Addressing the emergence of disruptive threats in a few key areas (Construction, Energy, Mobility and Smart City): new processes, technologies or business models
- Position VINCI upstream of value creation in its businesses
- Making VINCI a leading player in ConTech
- Today, the SEED program selects and supports early stage startups in order to build the cities and infrastructures of the future together


Approach and methodology
- Cross-analysis of businesses, competitors and, more broadly, market trends in which VINCI operates
- Benchmark of the structuring players of the contech ecosystem and their offer
- Interviews with 20 contech startups to identify their needs and design a relevant program


Actions
- Creation of a program linking startups with Group decision-makers, focusing on :
- Identifying strategic areas for sourcing and selecting startups
- Definition of the selection process and the support policy
- Structuring and accompanying the partnership modalities between the startups and Leonard - More broadly, design and implementation of a process of acculturation to innovation for the Group's employees, in connection with the program


Results
- 100 qualified startups sourced
- 8 startups shortlisted
- 6 startups supported over a period of 6 months
