Co-design and management of Ecole Polytechnique's X-Up incubation program
Context and need
- Five years after the launch of X-Up, Polytechnique's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department has decided to overhaul its incubation program in 2020, to better meet the needs of startups
- The X-Up program helps deeptech startups in the seed phase to structure their efforts with a view to going to market or raising funds.
Actions
- Overhaul of the incubation program: 2-week pre-incubation followed by 6 months of intensive support divided into sprints
- Introduction of support based on 4 pillars: lean method, prototyping, training, customized coaching
- Coaching of startups by INSKIP Entrepreneurs in Residence
- Supervision and sourcing of startups
- Participation in the selection process
Results
- A new incubation program, which continues to evolve between each promotion
- Two promotions supported, a third in the sourcing phase
- 12 startups supported
